A stunning castle inside and out. When you enter the reception you can smell the fire in the lounge. The lounge is beautifully decorated with painted ceilings and chandeliers. You walk up the wide, carpeted stair case to your room. Our room was spacious with a separate seating area. The views from our windows were off the hills and woods. It was beautiful with the snow on the hills. We walked around the hotel grounds which had lots of little pathways. Both nights we had the Tasting Menu. The food was presented artistically and tasted divine. The staff were fine with one particular gentleman who was friendly and knew lots of history about the castle and the furniture and is happy to talk to you if you ask any questions.

We booked very last minute, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, especially considering I booked and then arrived just five minutes later. We were treated to freshly made scones at 9pm, which were perfect in my opinion. We stayed in a garden room, which was very pretty, and I absolutely loved the roll-top bath. All of the staff were friendly and approachable, and we would certainly stay again. Thank you for accommodating us at such short notice.

We didn't stay here just popped in on our way through Fort William for scones, jam and clotted cream. Great selection of tea or coffee with the cream tea. Gorgeously decorated and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nice easy walks through the woods, a family cemetery and a walled garden to explore. Beautiful location. You can book for High Tea best to reserve a table. We didn't as it was November so not high tourist season

This place is absolutely magical. You truly live inside a castle, almost as it was centuries ago. The atmosphere is warm, the staff are wonderful, and there’s something enchanting about the whole estate that words can hardly describe. The grounds are vast — you can easily lose yourself wandering through the forest, searching for the path to the lake, waiting for the three mountains and Ben Nevis to emerge from behind the clouds. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to pause your life and stay there forever. Without a doubt, the most remarkable stay I’ve ever experienced.

This was a surprise trip for special birthday 3wks ago. Beautiful room but top floor no lift! Appreciate its a listed building. Quirky staff kind and attentive. Food options good quality but strange in that the choice is either the expensive tasting menu or a lounge menu. The latter consists of snack size morsels served at coffee tables sitting on big squashy sofas which personally I found very uncomfortable. There isn't a bar as such, we retired to our room where furniture much better. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow exploration of the grounds. Plenty to do and see in surrounding area so good base for that.

Inverlochy Castle is a truly stunning historical property that offers a unique and memorable experience in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Our stay coincided with a snowfall, which made the already picturesque grounds feel especially magical. Pros: • The castle itself is beautiful, steeped in history and surrounded by serene, well-maintained grounds. The fresh snow during our visit added an extra layer of charm to the scenery. • There are several accommodation options available, whether you prefer to stay within the main castle or in one of the separate buildings like the gate lodge. This flexibility is a nice touch for different travel preferences. • While service can vary, we encountered some excellent team members during our stay. A special mention goes to Daragh, whose professionalism and warm hospitality stood out and elevated our overall experience. Cons: • The range of guest services felt limited for a luxury property. Laundry is only available Monday to Friday and is outsourced (no on-site laundry or dry cleaning services), which might be inconvenient for longer stays. • We experienced a few maintenance issues in our room: the internet connection, TV, and towel heater were all not working, which detracted from the comfort level. • While turndown service was provided, we noticed that no bottled water was placed by the bedside, which is a small but often appreciated detail in this category of accommodation. Overall, Inverlochy Castle delivers on atmosphere and setting, offering a special experience for those seeking a peaceful and scenic getaway. A few service and maintenance improvements would make the stay feel more consistently luxurious, but the charm of the location and the dedication of some staff members make it a worthwhile visit.

Inverlochy Castle is pure Scottish elegance and history at its finest. Nestled beneath the shadow of Ben Nevis, this stunning castle hotel feels like stepping into a storybook—majestic architecture, peaceful grounds, and a sense of timeless grace everywhere you look. From the moment you arrive, the service is impeccable: warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The castle itself is beautifully preserved, with luxurious rooms that blend historic charm and modern comfort perfectly. The views across the loch and surrounding mountains are breathtaking, especially in the early morning light. Dining here is an experience in itself—the food is exceptional, crafted with care and local ingredients, and served with all the refinement you’d expect from such a remarkable setting. Even if you’re not staying overnight, it’s worth visiting for afternoon tea or simply to walk the grounds and take in the scenery. Inverlochy Castle captures the heart of the Highlands—graceful, serene, and unforgettable. A truly magical experience that lingers long after you leave.
